Bill White – George Strait Tribute Artist and featured guest artist with Crossfire

Bill started his musical career at age 13 as the drummer/singer in his family’s country band. Since then, he has participated in numerous shows in New York, Maine, Oregon and Washington.

Bill has performed in the National Country Showdown. In 1992, he advanced to the State level where he performed live at the Maine State Fair with Tom Wopat’s band (Dukes of Hazard).

In 1998, Bill debuted his first CD, titled “I’m A Cowboy In My Heart”, winning national acclaim for its song title.  In the February 1999 issue of Songwriter’s Monthly’s, they wrote, Bill “can croon with the best if them”. Hugh T Wilson (Country Music Writer and Radio Presenter LHR) wrote, “Bill White is as good, in fact, far better than many of the modern so-called country vocalists I saw on CMT”.

In 2001, Bill entered his original song, “But I Will that tied for best overall “Song Of The Year” honors for the Portland Songwriters Association, which received national and international entries.

Bill’s major influences are George Strait, Don Williams, Alabama, and Eddie Rabbitt, to name a few.
